The mission of the Excellence Gallery is to encourage artists and sharing of art and its role in society through direct engagement with original works of art. The Art Gallery acquires, preserves, interprets, exhibits, and otherwise makes accessible works of art for the benefit of a variety of audiences. To promote creativity, talent and growth in the careers of artists, and to inspire passion and appreciation for arts and culture in the public.

Programming emphasizes the work of local emerging artists, and occasionally features national and international exhibitions. The gallery welcomes contemporary visual art in all media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, participatory, video and new media.
